Paris: I can’t believe you didn’t tell me what you we’re going to do with all that money.
Rory: I’m sorry.
Paris: it is fine, but we are going to have to go find you an office, plus me your co-writer.
Rory: wait a minute how did you know I was going to ask you?
Paris: cause you told me on the phone that you would tell me when you we’re ready for my part and I just assumed, that you we’re ready.

Jess: Rory, I can’t wait around for you and Logan to finally hit the bricks. I know you thought I was going to wait for you to come to me, but I can’t cause lets face it, even if you and Logan don’t work out, I’m still the second choice. It’s hard to deal with that. I know you like me Rory, but I know what Logan means to you, and I’m not gonna just sit and wait for you to realize that I mean more to you.

Emily: Anyways I need you to come home, your fathers been put in jail.
Lorelai: dad?
Emily: yes Lorelai, do you have brain damage or something?
Lorelai: well when it’s this late at night……

Lorelai: well when it’s this early in the morning, my brains not really working to it’s full potential.
Emily: you need to pack, and get here we’re going to New York.

Rory: bye Ceaser, glad you came back in one piece. Zach, tell Lane and the boys hi for me.

Ceaser and Zach both look for her to say something to Jess. She doesn’t.

April and Rory walk into Luke’s hotel. Luke is talking to some people. He sees Rory and April. April runs over to him.
Luke: April. It’s so good to see you.
Luke and April hug.
April: I’ve missed you.

Lorelai: Paris, Luke is growing impatient.
Paris: sorry, sorry. Okay are we ready?
Rory: we’ve been ready.
Paris: your ruining the moment.
Rory: actually I think your doing that.
Paris gasp.
Paris: me, I’m the one who’s pregnant, how am I ruining it?

Rory is laying on the couch asleep. Lorelai comes rushing through the door.
Lorelai: RORY!! I’M HOME!! RORY??
Rory wakes up and greets her mom at the door in a big hug.
Rory: Hey mom.
Lorelai: Rory.
Rory: did you have fun in New York?
Lorelai: I wouldn’t exactly classify it as fun.
Rory: what happened between you and grandma?
Lorelai: it’s a long story.
Rory: well we have a long time.
Lorelai: good.
Lorelai and Rory sit down on the couch.
Lorelai: well after we got grandpa out of jail….
Rory: why was he in jail to begin with?
Lorelai: oh he disrespected a cop.
Rory: what?
Lorelai: I know, it made no sense to me either, but oh well.
Rory: okay continue.
Lorelai: well on the way home, we had to leave Grandpa cause he was on a business trip or something I don’t know, but we had to leave him, so grandma was all “you know I don’t know why your dating Luke again he already broke your heart, and you broke his” I just starred at her, then she was all “you guys don’t really belong”
Rory gasp.
Lorelai: I know. I’m really mad at her, not talking mad.
Rory: mom, you guys totally belong together.
Lorelai: I know that’s what I thought.
Rory giggles. Luke and April walk through the door.
Luke: Hey Rory, is your mom back?
Rory: yeah, bring the surprise in.
Lorelai looks at Rory.
Lorelai: surprise?
Rory: yeah, this is what I went to get.
Lorelai: I love surprises!
Rory: we know.
Luke brings April in. Lorelai jumps up, and runs over to April.
Lorelai: oh my gosh.
Lorelai and April hug.
Lorelai: this is just what I wanted for my birthday.
April giggles. Lorelai turns to Rory and hugs her.

Rory: don’t thank me, thank Luke, it was his idea.
Lorelai hugs Luke.

Rory and April are walking into Luke’s. They see Lorelai sitting at the counter, they walk over.
Rory: hey mom.
Lorelai smiles.
Lorelai: hey girls.
Rory and April sit down. Luke comes from the kitchen and stops at the girls.
Luke: hey girls.
April giggles.
Luke: what? What did I say?
Lorelai: I just said that.
Luke: oh.
Luke looks a little confused.
Luke: well what are you up to today April?
April: nothing really.
Luke looks at Lorelai.
Luke: can I talk to you?
Lorelai: me?
Luke: no, big bird. Yes you.
Luke and Lorelai move a little farther down the counter.
Lorelai: what’s up?
Luke: you should spend some quality time with April.
Lorelai: okay, doing what?
Luke: I don’t know, she’s a girl you’re a girl, do something girly.
Lorelai ponders a minute.
Lorelai: we could go shopping. Me and Rory use to do it all the time.
Luke smiles.
Luke: that would be perfect.
Luke and Lorelai go back over to Rory and April.
Lorelai: hey April? Would you like to go shopping?
April: yeah, that would be awesome, I don’t really have a lot of clothes.
Lorelai: okay great.
Lorelai looks at Rory.
Lorelai: you can come to Rory. Do you mind if we invite Rory?
April: no not at all. Yeah Rory you should come.
Rory: oh I can’t, but thank you so much for asking. I’m gonna start working towards my business.
Lorelai: really?
Rory: really.
April: your starting a business?
Rory: yeah, a new newspaper for Stars Hollow. We’re calling it The Stars Hollow Grapevine.
April: Grapevine? That’s interesting.
Lorelai: I thought so too.
Rory sticks her tongue out at them.
Rory: I like it.
Lorelai puts her hand on Rory’s.
Lorelai: and that’s all that matters.
Lorelai stands up.
Lorelai: you ready April?
April: yeah.
Lorelai looks at Luke.

Lorelai and Luke kiss. Lorelai and April leave. Rory looks at Luke.
Luke: what’s wrong?
Rory: nothing.
Luke stares at Rory.
Rory: really, it’s nothing serious. But…….um……….is Jess here?
Luke looks at Rory with sympathy.
Luke: he went to Pennsylvania for a bit, he said he was gonna ketch up with a few old friends.
Rory looks at Luke almost shocked.
Luke: don’t worry, he won’t be gone forever, he said he would probably be back in three to four days.
Rory nods her head.
Luke: he wouldn’t leave for good without saying good-bye.
Rory smiles a wimpy smile.

Lorelai and April are looking at a jacket, Emily spots them and comes over.
Emily: Lorelai?
Lorelai turns around. April does the same.
Emily: what are you doing here?
Emily sees April.
Emily: who this?
Lorelai turns around to keep admiring the jacket.
Emily: Lorelai, that was plain rude.
Lorelai starts walking away, April follows. Lorelai exit’s the store.
April: who was that lady?
Lorelai: that would be my mother.
April: oh, I see.
Lorelai: yeah.
Emily is chasing after them.
Emily: Lorelai.
Lorelai turns around.
Emily: did you not see me?
Lorelai just stares.
Emily: Lorelai Gilmore you talk to me right now.
Lorelai continues to stare.
Emily: I don’t know what I did…….
Lorelai: you don’t know what you did?
Emily: I don’t.
Lorelai: you informed me that me and my boyfriend, that I love, don’t belong together.
April gasp. Lorelai looks at her.
April: sorry.
Lorelai: that’s like saying you and dad don’t belong together.
Emily looks at Lorelai.
Emily: who’s this?
Lorelai: this is Luke’s daughter. April.
Emily looks at April, then at Lorelai.
Emily: the daughter that we found out about last year?
Lorelai: yes.
Emily looks April up and down.
Lorelai: mom, she’s not a mannequin.
Emily: I know that.
Lorelai: then stop looking at her like that.
Emily looks at Lorelai again.
Emily: what are you doing shopping with her?
Lorelai: I thought we could spend some quality time together.
Emily: did you forget about Rory. Your actual daughter?
Lorelai: no, I didn’t forget about Rory, she has to work on her business. She didn’t want to come.
Emily: I’m sure that it.
Lorelai: mom we we’re shopping so if your done we’re gonna continue.
Emily: you better not forget about your real daughter Lorelai.
Lorelai: mom, we’re shopping how am I gonna forget Rory?
Emily: it could be possible, shopping is never shopping unless your with REAL family.
April looks down.
Lorelai: mom go. I don’t have anything else to say to you.
Emily starts to walk off, she looks back.
Emily: sorry that’s just how I feel Lorelai.
Emily leaves. Lorelai looks at April.
Lorelai: April?
April: yeah.
Lorelai: don’t listen to her okay?
April nods her head.
Lorelai: my mother’s mother must have been the wicked witch. She doesn’t accept people very well.
April: okay.
Lorelai: you’re my family okay?
April: okay.
Lorelai: Luke and I may not be married or engaged, or anything like that, but you are part of my family, and whatever happens between me and Luke, you always will be.
April smiles.
Lorelai: come here.
April and Lorelai hug.
Lorelai: okay, I think we have plenty of clothes, how about we get something to drink and we head back home?
April: sounds good.

Rory is sitting down on the ouch typing on her laptop. Paris and Doyle come rushing through.
Paris: hey Rory.
Rory gets up startled.
Rory: hey Pairs, thanks for knocking.
Paris: yeah no problem. Guess what?
Rory: what?
Paris: Doyle won us a trip to Florida!
Rory looks at Doyle.
Doyle: it’s true.
Paris: can you believe it?
Rory: no that’s awesome.
Paris: yeah, and we leave tonight.
Rory: tonight?
Paris: yeah, so I probably won’t be able to help with the business like I thought I would be.
Rory: what about school?
Paris: I’ve been doing it online anyways.
Rory: well you guys have a good time.
Paris: we totally will, but we gotta pack.
Rory: okay.
Paris and Doyle leave.

Rory is walking to Luke’s. She gets to the steps and sees Cecilia leaving.
Rory: oh, hey Cecilia.
Cecilia: hey Rory.
Rory: how have you been?
Cecilia: I’m good.
Rory: that’s good.
Cecilia: yeah. How about you?
Rory: I’m okay.
Cecilia: well at least your still surviving.
Rory: yeah. Hey, you know I’m really, really, really sorry about Jess.
Cecilia: don’t be, it’s just the way of men.
Rory smiles.
Rory: but I know Jess, and I know what it’s like to be drawn in, and then have him not like you like that anymore.
Cecilia stares at Rory.
Cecilia: Rory. You know that Jess still loves you with his whole heart right?
Rory looks at Cecilia.
Rory: your crazy.
Cecilia: oh wow, this is way worse than I thought.
Rory: what are you talking about?
Cecilia: Rory, Jess has always loved you, from what I’ve heard that is along time, and when he kissed me, it didn’t mean anything to him, he loved you too much. He informed me, that what we had going was just a spring fling.
Rory nods her head.
Cecilia: you know I’m totally jealous of you.
Rory: me?
Cecilia: yeah, you could have Jess, all you would have to do is ask.
They stand there a minute.
Cecilia: now I’m not trying to come across as a bitch, but if you don’t want Jess, you should tell him, so he could try and find happiness. Your name is written in permanent marker across his heart, and I don’t think anyone’s gonna be able to erase it.
Rory nods her head.
Cecilia: well I gotta go finish packing.
Rory: your leaving?
Cecilia: yeah I have no reason to stay anymore, I don’t really belong here.
Rory: oh.
Cecilia: thanks for teaching me that EVERY boy has a track record even if it doesn’t look like it. I gotta go.
Cecilia leaves. Rory goes into Luke’s.
